Fairmont Jaipur

I recently visited Jaipur with Aman for a small Holi getaway and spent all our time at Fairmont Jaipur. I had big plans of visiting some spots in Jaipur that I haven’t yet seen but the hotel turned out to be so fabulous, comfy and beautiful that we didn’t end up stepping out even once! The weather was just perfect to spend your day by the pool, at the spa, eating all their amazing food and sipping on the incredible dry Martinis (DO NOT miss them at Anjum if you visit)

The most incredible sunsets are visible from their reflective pools and we’d gather around sunset time everyday martini and camera in hand.

The hotel itself is quite large with completely separated banquet halls for wedding functions and conferences so none of the hotel guests get bothered by it.

Anjum is their all day coffee shop and bar (where you get the best dry martinis). You must also try the Fairmont aged Negronis here.

Aza is their very cozy and chic library bar with a separate whisky bar made entirely out of oak-wood. Adjacent to it is their posh cigar library.

Zarin is the Indo-Persian restaurant with rich interiors and Persian style seating (low and meant for sharing). You must not miss having the ‘Thali’ meal here. Go for the Rajasthani Thali. The non-vegetarian version has the famous laal-maas (steer clear if you cannot handle spicy food). What I found interesting about this laal-maas was that it had a very distinctive smokiness to it which I’ve never actually experienced before. And I loved it.

Zoya is their bright, fresh all day restaurant serving up lovely food be it local Indian cuisine, continental, Thai or even some really amazing pizzas. I highly recommend trying their parma ham pizza and the oat crusted grilled salmon. For Holi their was an elaborate spread of street food like gol-gappas and delicious paranthas served with ‘kaleji keema’ (liver with minced mutton)

We had also booked the signature Zodiac Sign based therapies for ourselves at their Ruhab Spa. The Spa is so huge and beautifully built – with separate plunge-jacuzzi-pools, steam and sauna areas for men and women. Our spa day was blissful to perfection.

The day we checked in we decided to go in for the in-room dabba meal service which is another cool concept they have. The Thai dabba meals were yummy mind you.

Did I mention that our room had it’s very own hammam style tub that had been hand carved out of a single block of stone. I spent almost half a day in there.

And the incredibly chic poolside of the hotel.

Sharing some pics in and around the property for you to feast your eyes on. Enjoy!

Hope you enjoyed the post!
