Made a quick trip out of Delhi for the New Year celebrations. We drove down to a place called Amroha and then to Palia Kalan, both in Uttar Pradesh, Palia Kalan is situated very close to the Dudhwa National Park near the Nepal borders. So you get to see some wildlife roaming around in the open too. 4 days of open green spaces, clean blue skies, fresh air, bonfires, off-roading (read: the boys getting their cars stuck on purpose and then figuring out ways of getting them out), alcohol, friends and doggies to play with. We also spotted two medium sized crocodiles on the outer boundaries of the Dudhwa National Park where we had gone one day. Spectacular views and greenery. Here are a few snapshots of my tiny vacation. I was so happy to be out of Delhi and not breathing poison even for a few days. This is also one of the very few blog posts that don’t have me in any photographs so I thought I’l throw in a selfie atleast!
Lunch break during the drive from Amroha to Palia Kalan at some dhaba
Bonfire area which was where we sat, drank, ate, played music and made merry.
Leaving to spot some crocodiles
This is where we spotted the first one. I was too slow with the camera.
