Tess Giberson | NYFW |Spring 2016

The presentation by Tess Giberson at NYFW took you right back at home! The Spring collection was inspired by elements you see, touch and feel at your home – grommets on a chair, texture of a pillow, mesh on a kitchen wall – all these details were interpreted into clothes with impeccable finishing and attention to detail.

There were pretty inserts of crochet, macrame mixed with clean & graphic materials like coated mesh and laser-cut leather. Colors were kept simple with whites, creams, blacks, indigo and just a few pieces of stripes. The collection gave me a warm fuzzy feeling even though it was for Spring – probably because it really did remind me of a cozy day at a quiet beach with the ones I love. Comfort and ease. Home.
