I recently went to a day-time Indian wedding for which I had picked out a beautiful Anita Dongre look from her store in Emporio. The wedding also involved some politicians and even Mr. Narendra Modi visited! How exciting! Its the first time I saw him in person. If you follow me on instagram, you’ll also find the tiny video I recorded of him. Like a full blown celebrity, he came, gave his blessings to the newly wed couple and left. He was certainly the highlight of the day for me.
I was also unfortunately not allowed to carry my camera inside the venue (due to the high security stuff) so I couldn’t take any pics there. I did however manage to FINALLY get some pics of the outfit later on in the day after EVERYTHING. I have also been thinking of getting a new camera – a compact digital one, which will be so much easier, lighter amd smaller to carry as compared to the dslr. I feel that I will be able to capture a whole lot more with a digital one. Any good suggestions?
Back to the outfit – my heart sang a song when I spotted this orange long jacket. However they did not have the trousers it came with in my size so I went ahead and picked out this hot-pink floor length skirt/lehenga from another outfit and made my own. But they do look like they belong together don’t they? I also took out my new Guess Watch for the first time. Its a sleek and classic watch with a silver strap, accents of gold and some subtle bling – perfect to wear everyday and also with festive outfits like this.
