Festive Elegance | Vero Moda

The holidays and the festive season may bring a lot of cheer and joy but they also tend to bring the ever-daunting question – ‘What do I wear?’ While ‘bling’ answers most questions during this time, the comfortable way to incorporate it into your outfit is another story altogether. Not everyone likes bling or is the most comfortable with it. Personally I’m a huge fan of bling. Now I’m not saying that you’ll find me walking around looking like a disco ball anytime soon but I do love my sequins and HOW!

For this outfit I have digressed just a bit from my own personal style and dialled down the shine factor that I would usually go for during this time of the year. It’s mostly to show you that bling doesn’t always mean OTT (over the top). You can do subtle-bling just as well and feel as festive as ever. Vero Moda stores across the country have a huge variety of festive-wear options that can even double up as party looks for the rest of the year.

If you follow my blog closely, you may have noticed that I don’t wear skirts too often. There is no hidden reason behind it, it’s just been like that for the longest time. It also may have something to do with the fact that I have a slightly un-ladylike way of sitting in my daily life and wearing skirts only seems to highlight that fact. But I do make exceptions during the festive season and special occasions and force myself to sit pretty. And who wouldn’t, for such a pretty outfit?!

A feminine and festive outfit, this look can be worn both during the day and night just the way it is making it extremely versatile. The pastel mint skirt gives a feminine touch to the entire silhouette, the shiny tee brings in the festivities, the coat makes for a comfortable look (no one likes shivering their socks off at parties) and the necklace and shiny clutch lend that extra bling to the holiday look.

A sparkly yet not over-done outfit! Any girl would love to wear this to an elegant holiday party. But it seems more suitable for the day to me.

The shiny top looks like a nice party-top. Like how you have combined different pieces to make this look

that’s a pretty necklace and it goes well with the entire get-up. I would have probably worn a different jacket – maybe a white or cream one.
