{ Stylaned } – White Noise feat. DRVV

It was by chance that I got to know Dhruv Kapur , at the recently concluded Delhi Couture Week, where he (very boldly might I add) and his sister wore solid white dresses from his label DRVV, his being backless. I was instantly drawn. So I went up to him, explained what I did, asked him if he was interested…and the rest is history.
Presenting #Stylaned featuring DRVV by Dhruv Kapur – Collection ‘HOWARD

Q. Why is white the primary color across your collection?
A. The collection is intended for Resort and Spring 2013. The stark strength of white goes perfectly with the intended spirit of the collection itself. White was also an excellent choice for the minimal character of the collection and it shows of the strong details in the collection brilliantly.
Q. What are the inspirations of this collection?
A. The inspirations for this collection, Howard, are 1) Friedrich Nietzsche – Postmodernity, Beyond Good and Evil. 2) Howard Roark’s modern minimal architectural concept from Ayn Rand’s Fountainhead and 3) White, Limestone Wash and Olive Green from the White City – Udaipur.
Q. If you were to have a show of this collection, what would your vision be – ramp design, music, makeup, accessories, etc?
A. Ramp: White Lightbox Runway with overhead spots|Music: Ace of Base mixed with random sounds of a bustling city like bus horns, a metro trains screeching halt, stock market din|Makeup: completely nude, tight ponytails, highlighted contours|Accessories: Leather totes and Flat Roman Sandals
